Edgar Cayce, the famous American psychic of the 20th century, made many predictions during his readings, including massive changes to magnetic field of planet Earth. In this article, we are going to look at Edgar Cayce’s polar shift predictions.
Edgar Cayce predicted that the Earth’s magnetic poles would shift 16 to 20 degrees between the 1950s and 1990s. Mt. Etna volcano in Italy and Mt. Pelee in Martinique would erupt at the same time, causing floods that would wipe out the West coast of the United States. Cayce called the shift Earth Changes, and that it would be the beginning of the New Age of human experience.

Scientists studying paleomagnetics have theorized that the magnetic field of the planet has abruptly reversed every 50 000 to 100 000 years, going back 70 million years.
What are our planet’s magnetic poles?
Our planet has two magnetic poles, one at the most northern part of the planet, and the other at the most southern part. Opposite poles attract each other, while the same type of pole repels each other. These two poles are part of the magnetic field that surrounds the planet, and is what makes the use of compasses for navigation possible. The magnetic field is generated by the Earth’s molten core, an ocean of liquid iron 2000 miles beneath the surface. The magnetic field acts as a shelter, and protects us from deadly radiation in our solar system.
According to Cayce, the pole shift is one aspect of what he called Earth Changes
Earth changes include a variety of natural events, including earthquakes, the melting of the polar ice caps, solar flares etc. During his psychic readings he described these sort of earth changes as occurring millions of years ago on our planet, as well as tens of thousands of years ago in the events which destroyed the civilization of Atlantis. He also predicted future earth changes that would cause catastrophic damage.
There will be shifting then of the poles – so that where there has been those of a frigid or the semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. And these will begin in those periods in ‘58 to ‘98, when these will be proclaimed as the periods when His light will be seen again in the clouds. As to times, as to seasons, as to places, alone is it given to those who have named the name – and who bear the mark of those of His calling and His election in their bodies. Who Was Edgar Cayce?
Cayce was a healer and clairvoyant in the United States beginning in the 1920s. He conducted his work by going into a trance state and accessing the Akashic records, which is a psychic record of everything in existence. His readings mostly discussed health and dreams, as well as past lives and the ancient civilization Atlantis. Cayce also made many prophecies for the future, including the destruction of California.

The Work of Edgar Cayce
During Cayce’s channelings he often discussed dreams, health, healing and wellness, as well as extra sensory perceptions.
He described how all people are psychic to some extent, as it is a “natural ability of the soul”. Regarding extra sensory perception, His work discusses:

Childhood
Even as a child, it was apparent that Cayce was highly unusual. Some of the events that occurred during his childhood that shaped who he would go on to become included:
- He was a devout Christian since childhood, becoming fascinated with the Bible starting at age 10, and he was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ church.
- Cayce grew up on a farm where as a child he claimed to see small beings, as well as his deceased grandfather.
- He had a vision of an angel in the woods as a child who told him that his prayers were answered and asked what he wanted most of all. His reply was that wanted to help sick children.
- Cayce demonstrated unusual abilities in school as a child, appearing to be able to receive the answers to exams psychically.
