Thoth was the ancient Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom and the moon. His books taught the ancient <\/strong>Egyptians their science and religion. During ancient Greece he became known as Hermes, and taught Pythagoras the knowledge that would form the basis of the ancient Greek culture and philosophy.<\/strong><\/p>\n Thoth was referred to as \u201cThrice Greatest\u201d because he was considered the greatest of all philosophers, the greatest of all priests, and the greatest of all kings. he was seen as the embodiment of the universal mind, and as the cosmic principle of thought.<\/p>\n
